Collide Event Normal/Angle

Is there a way to get the collision normal from a collide event?

You can get the x and y co-ords of both items in the collision which is enough to work out the collision normal, if you're just using simple radial collisions.

Box2D supports this out of the box (no pun intended). Is there a reason it's left out of the collision event?
