it is possible to read xml files (or RSS) like as2 or as3?
if yes, how?

i would like to read any xml/rss files from web

You can see http://lua-users.org/wiki/LuaXml for xml parsers for Lua.

We don't have a way to do AS3 type of xml parsing, but am sure that we will have that solution soon.

Is there any update on having better xml parsing in Corona? The code posted does not work very well.
