Application not installed

Hi,

I followed the instructions to install a simple "hello world" application.

"hello.apk".

I uploaded the .apk file to my server and downloaded it on my phone (I'm using an LG Optimus One)

Under Settings > Applications I checked 'Unknown sources". Then I went to my downloads folder and clicked on hello.apk.

I was asked if I wanted to install it, and hit ok.

However, I got the message,
"Application not installed".

Is there something I am missing or will my phone just not work with these settings?

i'm getting the same errors with my builds after that server problem couple of days ago
i'm using 591 built by the way

Yes I'm on 5.9.1.

I'm running just the trial at the moment...does that have anything to do with it?

If it is not an AMRv7 Device. it will not install. ;-(

c.

Ah..I get it. I looked up my device, it's only ARMv6. I think the device only came out this month!

i have a Xperia Play device and was perfectly happy with it before... why sudden changes in builds? so, i cant use my phone for builds anymore?

I guess I should go and just download the regular Android SDK then.

if you are a subscriber, you could locate an older build and create an ARMv6 .apk

cheers,

?:)

Good tip.
