Quotes and Testimonials

I know it's very early but if any of you have any interesting* quotes regarding Lime that can be added to the site then please post them here, currently the only one I have is:

"In game development, as in life, a Corona is always best served with a fresh helping of Lime" - Carlos M Icaza. Co-founder, Ansca Inc

*Funny, Enlightening, Sarcastic, Informative, Useful, Positive, Negative, Indifferent, Random

"Lime has saved us weeks of development and testing time, it's been a lifesaver." - Ryan, Creative Director, uDESIGN.me LTD.

Thank you very much for your kind words, they bring a tear to my eye :-)

They have been added. Every page on the site loads a random quote so youshould see yours quite a bit as there are only two.

Would you like it to link back to your site?

Sure, I never say no to a backlink. :)

:-)

Would you like it to your blog or the main site?

Put it to the blog for now.

Done :-)

"If you think Corona game development is easy compared to doing it ground up with Object C wait till you try pairing Corona with Lime. Match made in heaven. Newbie heaven that is. While extremely simple to use, Lime is also tremendously powerful backed with a dedicated developer. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks for Lime!"

K.San - Hobbyist and newbie Corona developer

Phew, that's a long one :-)

It's up and would you like to link it to anywhere?

I can shorten it if it doesn't fit well. Let me know. No need for link back. Thanks!

I guess my OCDness is wanting it shorter but it really is up to you and I'm not really in the position to nitpick over someone else saying such nice things about my work :)

How about this :

"Corona with Lime. Match made in heaven. Newbie heaven that is. While extremely simple to use, Lime is also tremendously powerful backed with a dedicated developer. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks for Lime!"

It's up, check it out to see what you think :-)

The when part in "when backed with a dedicated developer" makes it sound as if I'm praising myself where as actually I'm talking about you... Suggest getting rid of that "when"

Hehe, I assumed that you WERE talking about the actual users of Lime :-) I'll switch it back :-)

Actually in that case should it be "and backed by", however grammar for me usually goes out the window around 1am so I may still be wrong :-)

"Corona with Lime, a match made in heaven... newbie heaven that is! While extremely simple to use, it's also backed by a talented and dedicated developer! Couldn't ask for more, thanks for Lime!"

My grammar doesn't die for another 15 minutes, we're in luck. :P

@udesignme thanks. thats perfect. Lets go with that

Awesome! I must be showing my age. Or perhaps I was never that great with grammar in the first place :-)

It's up :-)

I want to focus on working the gameplay part of my game, so I use Lime.

It's up :-) Thank you very much. If you would like it linked to a site/blog etc just give me a shout.

"We use Lime because it is, by far, the simplest way to develop robust, full-featured games for both iOS and Android, with developer support that is second to none!" Jeff Hyson, Eieio Software

Awesome, thank you very much! It is up.

Thanks Graham,

I suppose the best testimonial to the ease and usefulness of Lime is the fact that, after joining the private beta yesterday, I have a functional early version of my new game Sengoku Ninja. After wrestling with Cocos2d for the past few weeks, implementation with Lime and Corona was a breeze. Consider me a convert. Here's a screenshot of all the Limey goodness...

Thanks again,

Looking really good, loving the double sword action :-)

I naturally can't take all the credit for ease of use as most of that goes to Corona itself but I'll take the rest of it :-)

If you want your game listed in the barren showcase - http://developer.anscamobile.com/forum/2011/01/21/showcase - give me a shout.

Graham, feel free to showcase mine; I'll put up new screenies later.

Was hoping you would say something like that :-) Looking forward to the new screenshots!
