Simulator Mouse-click / "tap" behavior inconsistent

I am curious if others are encountering this problem. My game in development is quite "tap" intensive, so the user must click the screen repeatedly, and quickly. On the Simulator when running on Windows or Mac, I notice that the mouse click is often not detected. YET, when the App is put on my devices (iPhone4 / iPad) the "tap" is detected with much more consistency.

Could this be a problem in the SDK? Just wanted to see if others were encountering this. At first I thought my mouse was going bad - but my colleague found this to be the case also.

I have not personally had this problem at ALL, however I know of two other devs who have.

Typically it's because you move the mouse during the tap, ever so slightly, which makes it not work consistently on the sim - device is much better as you noted.
