Subscription questions

From this site:

The Corona SDK includes the Corona Simulator, documentation and sample code, and a free one-year membership in the Corona Developer Program.

As a member of the Corona Developer Program you will be able to build native iPhone applications, install them on your iPhone, and distribute them on the iPhone App Store. You will also qualify for updates to the Corona SDK.

Do we still need to enroll in the iPhone Developer Program from Apple? http://developer.apple.com/programs/iphone/

During the current beta period, the subscription price will remain at the current $99, which includes building for all three platforms. When the beta period ends, the subscription price will increase to $249.00 per year.

If I purchase at $99, after a year what will be the renew price?

@Poonaka

In order to develop apps on the iPhone, you still need to be part of the iPhone (iOS) developer program from Apple. There is no way around that.

After your $99.00 subscription expires, the renewal price will be $249.00.

The $99.00 subscription will end when 2.0 ships rather soon, at which point, the price will be $249.00 for a one year subscription.

Carlos

I need clarification on subscription expiration. Does expiration simply mean that you cannot download new updates or does it mean that you can no longer use Corona to build apps or both?

Thanks
