Can native.newTextField be set auto line-feed?

As title: because I provide a textbox for user key-in. So I found out native.newTextBox seems be readonly. So I know native.newTextField providing single line to input. But it can't auto line-feed.
Therefore, Are there any way to resolve it? or native.newTextBox can be input by user?
