Take Screenshot on device?

Taking a picture of the current screen on the iphone
(similar to Home+Sleep button function):
is it supported?

look at the sample code and or display.capture and display.save

can i set a photo as the background image on the iphone?

I read about issues that this wont be approved anymore by apple.
