Sound and music challenges

Hi,

we use eventsounds extensively in our project, although i have received advise against doing so. Our app(toddlers) has many words which are spoken aloud when various objects are tapped on screen? 80% of my words are short words and occassional sentences with a few words.

Does it make sense to use audio library to preload all the sounds and then use them as required? will this work on android ?

Does event sound work correctly on iOS as we have seen issues like blank and frozen screen while testing our app on a ipad (this could be a bug in the app)

All our sounds are loaded from a subdirectory sounds? i read somewhere that we should avoid creating subdirectories as they may not work on android?

I just want to know the correct way to do this, something which deals with a number of short sounds and work consistently and across iOS and android devices.
