I need IOS on windows

Why only had firetruckin Android on Winodws
Can u addin IOS on Windows?

*Edited for profanity. Read the forum rules :)

not possible it is a rule from apple you can't build for ios on non apple system unless you have hackintosh on your pc

:)

I know that
but maybe we can take something on apple to windows
or the simplest Cloud!

Nothing to be a cloud on the line, not too difficult technically

I know how you feel fongka2, what I did is buy a 2nd Hand Macbook which cost me around $350 USD and just use it to build your project.

Why do not you use the virtual mac

Fongka2,

I have edited your post. Read the forum rules before posting again; http://developer.anscamobile.com/forum/2011/05/05/forum-rules-and-guidelines

As the kind folks above have made clear, this down to Apple and not Corona. The suggestion of picking up a cheap Mac (if you have a desktop set up already with a monitor, mouse and keyboard you can pick up a Mac Mini second hand for very cheap) is a good one.

@fongka2,
I have not tried the windows version, but take away the simulator skin, then it does not matter what OS you have. (kind of) if you use the MyTouch, it is the same size as iPhone3. Apart from some API features not working, the rest of coronaSDK is generic.

Even if you could get to develop for iOS on windows, you cannot build as you cannot have the build certificates, etc.

So either you can develop using the simulato to a particular size or as many have suggested, get a mac mini, even a second hand/refurb one will do.

cheers,

?:)

*Edit: Entire post removed as it consisted of only profanity.

@fongka2,
swearing in Chinese does not help much does it. I think you need to be polite if you need Ansca to listen and help you.

cheers,

?:)

@fongka2

don't do time pass over here some persons might busy and they should not have time to deal with these stupid things

fongka2 - you've been warned by a member of staff that swearing is not something we tolerate; responding to a warning for profanity with more profanity is GREAT - so long as your goal is a forum ban.

The next post I see from you that deliberately breaking the forum rules will result in a ban.

We have a wonderful, helpful community here - you're welcome to be a part of that if you can interact with others in a polite and respectful manner.

Peach :)

actually, this must NOT be true as I can make games with UDK for iOS on my PC - no hacking, etc.

there a couple ways for Ansca to do this...

1. build it in (UDK allows iOS builds on a PC)
2. Online build system (PhoneGap & DragonFireSDK both do this - PhoneGap seems automated where DragonFireSDK is not).

It's not something that is happening any time soon; using the search tool you will see it has been discussed and reasons have been provided.

Comparing Corona to other SDKs, in particular those that charge $3k or a large chunk out of your profits is apples and oranges.

You're right about #1...
I guess #2 could be thought of as apples to oranges, also as PhoneGap is 100% free and DragonFireSDK is a one-time fee of $150 (at most) - both with no profit sharing. So, I guess comparing those much less expensive solutions to $345/year is not the same. :)

My overall point was that @hgvyas123 was wrong in saying "it is a rule from apple you can't build for ios on non apple system" as UDK does it -- or, at the very least, there are SDK's out there that have work-arounds (such as PhoneGap & DragonFireSDK).

So, to just flat out say "no; only the big boys can afford to offer this" is not the way to run a business (nor is it true). It should be, "maybe we can figure that out and offer our customers (current or potential) what they want" [since there are others (big and small) that already have].

A build server could be another way to make money...
for those that don't have a Mac or want to use one (nor want to buy one: even a Mini, etc.) could be charged per online build -- $10/test $50/publishable -- or, $5 and $40 -- whatever the demand would dictate -- or, it could be built right into the subscription price. It could also be for those that don't want to make the $345/year commitment.

Please don't see building iOS for Windows-only users as a problem or hassle (or even worse: not doable); see it as a possibility. -- a possibility for offering greater, broader customer service and gaining more revenue streams.

Carlos has already addressed this; as I said above, check out the search tool :)

Could you please post the link to Carlos' answer? My search results have brung only the question with no reply from Carlos... or, a bunch of unrelated stuff. Or, tell me what to search. I would think -- iOS Windows -- would be the terms, but there're not (forum and site search).

Here is one;
http://blog.anscamobile.com/2011/01/corona-sdk-is-now-on-windows/
His post is 6th from the bottom.

Here is another;
http://developer.anscamobile.com/content/do-you-plan-release-windows-version-corona-sdk
His post is first, after the OP.

Those were two that jumped out, there are more but this isn't really my job ;)

Hope that helps :)
