I have been wondering about the grayed out iphone + ipad build option that was removed in 2.0 and was wondering if the feature would be released anytime soon. I also wanted to know if I could take an ipad app that is already on the market and make it into a universal app with an update (once this feature is enabled). I have never been sure if the process could be done this way, because everyone always seems to release on the iphone before considering the ipad. Additionally, will it be possible to tell what device I am running on for device specific code?

I also really want the ability to create universal iPhone/iPad apps!
