i haven't found any answer about this or anywhere on the roadmap on when this is going to be supported. is there any ETA on this?

as soon as this is supported i have a huge project w/ corona i'd like to start (involving 10+ licenses)

Me too. I'd save a bundle of time. I had to go back to Eclipse/Java as I needed camera. Pretty tedious compared to using Corona.

Let me add my need for this to the mix as well. Who knows, perhaps it will snowball quickly.

Yup, show stopper for one of my new apps :( All the other pieces are there so it's a real drag. Guess it's back to Eclipse for that.

Corona team - Please add Android camera support. I have several projects that need this feature.
